| When we make the
mistakes in life, is
just saying |
| "Oh well, we are
here to learn" good enough! |
| Perhaps correcting our
mistakes |
| is a way we learn! |

You can live three weeks without food. |
You can live three days without water. |
But you cannot live three minutes without hope. |

Some think they can buy me |
others say they can nay find me, |
Some fall in and out with me, while |
others, associate hate with me! |
| |
But, I belong with hope, not hate, |
And bring no fear, nor negativity, |
I am truer than your finest instrument, |
I am yours to own, and better shared. |
I am not hard to find and belong to all, |
And not just the property of mankind |
I am the energy that makes the whole, |
the eternal light that burns deep within. |
| |
To deny me, is to lose me, |
To give me, is to find me, |
The more that I am shared, |
The closer the whole will become. |
I am Love |

If you think you are beaten, you are; |
If you think you dare not, you don't; |
If you'd like to win, but think you can't, |
It's almost a cinch you won't. |
| |
If you think you'll lose, you're lost, |
For out in the world we find |
Success begins with a person's faith; |
It's all in the state of mind. |
| |
Life's battles don't always go |
To the stronger or faster hand; |
They go to the one who trusts in Life |
And always thinks "I can." |

There are unexpected places |
Beyond perspective, beyond time |
Where angels leave no traces |
And grief becomes sublime |
| |
There is a world of violet light |
Within our mind, within our heart |
Where spiritis take final flight |
And sorrow can depart |
| |
There was a sound so soft and still |
Close as a whisper, close to death |
Where healing heart brings goodwill |
And inner light takes breath |
| |
There are no sobs, nor wailing songs |
Above the clouds, above the stars |
Where nature's lamplight belongs |
And wind's sweet chime afar |
| |
There's a place of sound and vision |
Whose aura beckons, whose colour smiles |
Where thoughts avoid collision |
And indigo beguiles. |

I said to the man |
who stood at the gate |
of the year, “Give me |
a light that I may tread |
safely into the unknown.” |
And he replied, “Go out |
into the darkness and |
put your hand into the |
hand of God. That shall |
be to you better than |
light and safer than |
a known way.” |

| (a 17th Century Nun's Prayer) |
| |
Keep me from the fatal habit of thinking |
that I must say something on |
every subject and on every occasion. |
| |
Release me from craving to straighten out |
everybody’s affairs. |
With my vast store of wisdom, |
it seems a pity not to use to all, but you know Lord that |
I want a few friends at the end. |
| |
Keep my mind free from |
the recital of endless details; |
give me wings to get to the point. |
| |
Seal my lips on my aches and pains. |
They are increasing, and love of |
rehearsing them is becoming sweeter |
as the years go by. |
I dare not ask for grave enough to enjoy |
the tales of others’ pains, but help me |
to endure them with patience. |
| |
I dare not ask for improved memory, |
but for a growing humility |
when my memory seems to clash |
with the memory of others. |
| |
Teach me the glorious lesson that |
occasionally I may be mistaken. |
Keep me reasonably sweet; |
I do not want to be a saint – |
some of them are so hard to live with – |
but a sour old person is one of |
the crowning works of the devil. |
| |
Give me the ability to see good things |
in unexpected places. And talents |
in unexpected people. |
And, give me O Lord, |
the grace to tell them so. |

It was summer when you
left me |
With winter in my
heart |
The leaves are showing
autumn now |
So it's time to make a
start |
I've started buying
presents |
Wrapping paper with
matching tags |
They're all quite
safely hidden |
In various plastic
bags |
I must go in the loft
to see |
It the three is still
up there |
I'm nut sure how to
put up your steps |
Perhaps I'll use a
chair |
I know you're watching
over me |
Doing things in my own
way |
It's not the way you'd
do it |
But I'll get things
done 'ok' |
I wish I'd taken more
notice |
When we did things
together |
But I didn't think it
important |
I thought 'we'd' be
forever |
You always did the
garden |
Kept weeds down with a
hoe |
I think I'll have to
buy some goats |
Now the long grass
needs a mow. |
And painting's to do a
door |
But instead I got all
flustered |
And dropped the paid
all on the floor |
I'm wondering how you
did it |
Putting Christmas
lights up on our house |
They're in the garage
somewhere |
Errr did you ever
catch that mouse? |
I need to find the
lever |
For the bonnet on the
car |
The screen wash needs
refilling |
What's left there
won't do far |
I've found it's not
that easy |
Being a woman on her
own |
Especially when a man
like you |
Helped run our happy
home. |
But I'll tackle every
problem |
Just you wait and see |
Life's taken on new
meaning |
I'll make you proud of
me |
And when I get down
hearted |
When things don't do
the way I've planned |
I know you'll be there
with me |
Giving me your helping
hand |

What is this life if, full of care, |
We have no time to stand and stare. |
No time to stand beneath the boughs |
And star as long as sheep or cows. |
No time to see, when woods we pass, |
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass. |
No time to see, in broad daylight, |
Stream full of stars, like skies at
night. |
No time to turn at Beauty's glance |
And watch her feet, how they can dance |
No time to wait till her mouth can |
Enrich that smile her eyes began. |
A poor life this if, full of care |
We have no time to stand and stare. |

Look
to this day |
For
it is life, the very life of life. |
In
its brief course lie all the |
And star as long as sheep or cows. |
No time to see, when woods we pass, |
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass. |
No time to see, in broad daylight, |
Stream full of stars, like skies at
night. |
No time to turn at Beauty's glance, |
And watch her feet, how they can dance |
No time to wait till her mouth can |
Enrich that smile her eyes began. |
A poor life this if, full of care, |
We have no time to stand and stare. |

Close
you Eyes |
and
you will see clearly, |
Cease
to Listen |
and
you will hear truth, |
Be
Silent |
and
your heart will sing, |
Seek
no Contacts |
and
you will find union, |
Be
Still |
and
you will move forward on the tide of spirit, |
Be
Gentle |
and
you will achieve no strength, |
Be
Patient |
and
you will achieve all things, |
Be
Humble |
and
you will remain entire |

| "My
Spirit Lives On" |
| (anonymous) |
| Dedicated
to Carol Ann Rands (Healer) |
| |
See through the window, |
Look at the light, |
Smell the sweet flowers, |
See the sky bright, |
Shed not the tears, |
As you feel I have gone, |
Love never leaves, |
And my spirit lives on. |
| |
Talk of me often, |
Your words will be heard, |
I'll be by your side, |
As swift as a bird, |
Love life and laugh, |
Together we'll be, |
On the right path, |
As our spirits fly free. |
