Background Information
Hi, my name is Ray Wilson ( 'Touch' ) - Founder of
Gentle Touch Healing. Many people ask me why I founded Gentle Touch Healing. If you would allow me some of your time,
I will like to answer this question as follows:
- At the age of about 13 (in 1960) I realised that I had 2 missions, one was healing and the other to set-up an organisation for gifted children. It wasn't until I was about 40 when my sister Christine, who was 35 at that time, was unfortunately diagnosed with terminal cancer. I felt very strong need to put my hands on her to heal her, but I didn't know what to do. A few years after her passing I met a healer who introduced me to The School of Psychic Studies in London (in 1990) where I did my basic training to be a healer. In recent years I realised that my second mission related to help gifted children such as Indigo children. Looking to hand over Gentle Touch Healing to some of them gifted with healing at a future date. In the meantime I have set-up a website for them to freely share their gifts - www.childrenfromouruniverse.com
- In 1996 I found myself being pulled in too
many directions. At the same time as having to work full time for a living I was
Chairman of 2 local Healing Centres for a large national healing organisation,
and making many home visits. The end result was fatigue and exhaustion, with too
many calls for my healing services, and not being able to help more people.
- I believe that healing should be given freely to those in need. At the same
time healers need to pay their way in life. So I set out to find a way to
continue to give free healing, to help more people, and also to support other
healers.
- I also believe that the future of health care is an Holistic approach where doctors, therapists, healers and other health care workers all work together sharing the knowledge and gifts to give those in need a better health care services.
- The idea came to me to see if we could create a new range of energy products
to help others and at the same time bring in income to achieve our objectives. I
invited some of my fellow healers, plus some friends, to work with me on the
project. - After listing a range of media such as sound, vibration and colour that could
be used for healing, it became clear that we needed to mirror the principles of
healing itself - channelling healing energy in a protective environment. For
centuries the healing power of the pyramid shape has been widely known so we
started working with the pyramid shape as our initial media. We found this shape
ideally suited - a balanced area of channelled flowing energy, which can help
bring our own body back into balance. After two years of hard work we came up
with a range of pyramid
based energy tools.
- Many people that I have looked after have only
been given limited options for the treatment of their illnesses and not
given information about other complementary treatments available to them.
This often left them is a position of loosing control/ownership of their lives.
Share knowledge and skills between those in the healthcare industry would
help give people in need more options and control of their lives.
- For many years I have been working in a wide range of rented venues ranging from halls, school rooms, local community centres non of which has been ideally suited for healing. Healers need the right type of venue to give healing and looking to build our own purposes built healing centre.
- I founded Gentle Touch Healing to
create a healing organisation that would achieve the following aims:
- To continue to give healing Free of
Charge.
- To create an organisation that
supports healers (financially and otherwise).
- To bring together healers,
therapists, doctors, nurses and other health care workers to work together
sharing they knowledge and skills to give an broader holistic approach to
healing/health care.
- To share knowledge and keep
patients better informed about the options available to them so that they
can better take ownership of the situation.
- To encourage Self-Healing.
- To build a purpose built healing centre for healing.
- The idea of Gentle Touch Healing started and I created a list of healing tools mediums such as using colour, light, crystals, sound, music etc. with the concept of giving free healing and bringing in an income to pay for the healing for selling a new range energy healing tools.
- I invited a group of experienced healers
and some friends of mind to join me and we created our first range of energy tools. Many of these are based on
'sacred geometry' designs around the pyramid shape.
- we set-up a
trading company - Gentle Touch Healing Limited to sell and promote their
energy tools. The objectives of this company has now been changed into a
'Not for Profit' company with the key objective to raise funds for our
registered charity. Had stands at many National exhibitions to promote our range of products and give healing.
- after visiting the Harry Edwards Healing Sanctuary the visit inspired the idea of using our knowledge of pyramid shape to create our own purpose built Pyramid healing Centre.
- we formed a support group - "Friends of Gentle Touch
Healing" to help raise funds. Carried our car boot sales, local fund raising events, local talks to raise funds and share knowledge.
- set up our 1st Healing Centre in Flitwick, Bedfordshire - 1 evening each week.
- we wrote to Prince Charles about our future Holistic Pyramid Healing Centre. Clarence House referring us to The Princes Foundation and through this link met the architect Jon Allen who has been helping us with the design of our future healing centre.
- we became a Registered
Charity with the key objective 'To promote for the public good;
spiritual healing, without charge, for the relief of sickness and for the
preservation of health.

we became a member of The British Alliance of Healing Associations.
- did a village tour of local villages to bring healing to the community.
- organised a 'Healathon' to celebrate our 10th anniversary of the founding of the group.
- organised an 'Holistic Health Fayre'.
-moved our weekly healing centre to another rented venue - The Old School, Flitwick.
- invited to support various local NHS health related events - for public and NHS staff.
- looking to reach a wider audience to help us with our work and help more people.
Wrest Park and expanding healing services from Monday to Friday plus drop in sessions on Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
- Our Ultimate goal to build a purpose built Holistic Healing
Centre where healers, therapists, doctors and nurses can work
together for the benefit of the general public. A place of peace and
tranquility.
